Zhongsheng EN407 Certified Heat Resistant Oven Gloves, Nomex and Kevlar, Five Finger, 2 Pcs

Zhongsheng Heat Resistant Gloves

These Zhongsheng gloves are EN407 certified for contact heat. They are made from Nomex and Kevlar aramid fibres, the same family of materials used in protective workwear.

Real Heat Protection With Full Grip

Thin cotton gloves let heat through in seconds. These aramid gloves are certified for contact heat, and the five-finger shape with silicone grip lets you handle trays, cast iron and grill racks safely.

Standout Features

• EN407 Certified: tested for protection against contact heat.
• Nomex and Kevlar: aramid fibres that resist heat and cuts.
• Silicone Grip: a non-slip hold on hot, heavy cookware.
• Machine Washable: cotton lined and easy to keep clean.

The Numbers

Getting the Best From It

Bulky mitts make it hard to grip a handle or turn food on the barbecue. These five-finger gloves let you move your fingers freely, while three layers of protection and non-slip silicone stripes keep hot trays, pans and grill racks firmly in your hands. Choose standard or long cuffs in red or blue. Ideal for the oven, hob and outdoor BBQ.

For safe use, always make sure your oven gloves are completely dry before you pick anything up, because damp or wet fabric conducts heat quickly and can scald your hands in seconds. Hold hot trays and dishes with a firm, flat grip, keep the gloves away from naked flames and gas burners, and never use them as a trivet for very hot pans for long periods. Wash them regularly to remove grease, which can reduce heat protection and grip over time, and let them air dry fully before use. Hang them on a hook near the oven so they are always to hand, and replace them once the padding becomes thin, scorched or worn through.

A good pair of oven gloves is one of the most important safety tools in any home or professional kitchen. Always unplug small appliances after use and let them cool fully before cleaning or putting them away. Never immerse the main body in water; wipe the outside with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid, and use a soft brush or a silicone spatula to clear crumbs and cooked-on bits from the plates or slots. Avoid metal utensils, which can scratch non-stick coatings.

Store the appliance in a dry cupboard with the cable loosely wrapped, and check the plug and cable now and then for any damage. Replace oven gloves as soon as they become thin, scorched, frayed or holed, because worn patches let heat straight through to your skin. Keep a spare pair in the drawer so there is always a clean, dry set ready while the other is in the wash, and never use a tea towel as a substitute, as a loose end can catch fire on a gas hob or dangle onto an oven element.
