TempPro TP03H Instant Read Meat Thermometer, IPX6 Waterproof Digital Food Probe with Backlit Display and Calibration

TempPro TP03H Instant Read Meat Thermometer

The TP03H is one of the most popular kitchen thermometers in Britain, and it is easy to see why. A 10 cm food grade stainless steel probe and a high precision sensor read the internal temperature of your food in 1 to 3 seconds, accurate to ±0.5°C. No more cutting into a roast chicken to check whether it is done.

Waterproof and Built to Last

Cheap thermometers often fail after a splash in the sink. The TP03H is IPX6 waterproof, so you can wash it under running water without worry. A lock function holds the reading when you pull the probe out, so you do not have to peer into a hot oven or over a grill. The calibration function brings it back to the correct accuracy over time, and the foldable probe stores neatly in a drawer.

Key Features

• 1 to 3 Second Reading: accurate to ±0.5°C.
• IPX6 Waterproof: wash under the tap.
• Backlit Display: easy to read at evening barbecues.
• Lock and Calibrate: hold readings, keep accuracy.

Specifications

In the Kitchen and at the Grill

Use it for chicken, turkey, beef, pork, lamb, fish and ham, as well as frying oil, caramel and liquids. One button switches between °C and °F, and the magnetic back or hook keeps it close to the cooker. ThermoPro is now TempPro, with the same products and team, so you may receive either branding. For an accurate reading, push the probe tip into the thickest part of the meat, away from bone and fat, and wait for the number to settle. UK food safety guidance suggests a core temperature of around 75°C for poultry, minced meat, sausages and reheated leftovers, while whole cuts of beef and lamb can be served at lower temperatures to suit your taste. Rest large joints for 10 to 20 minutes, because the temperature keeps rising slightly as they rest. Wipe the probe with hot soapy water or an antibacterial wipe between raw and cooked food to avoid cross-contamination, and check accuracy now and then in iced water, which should read 0°C.
