To get the best from wooden plates, wash them by hand soon after use in warm water with a little washing-up liquid, then dry them straight away with a tea towel and let them air dry fully standing on their edge. Never soak wooden plates, put them in the dishwasher or heat them in the microwave, because long contact with water and high heat can make the wood swell, warp or crack. Every few weeks, rub a thin layer of food-safe mineral oil or board oil into the surface with a soft cloth, leave it to soak in overnight and wipe off any excess. This keeps the grain rich and stops the wood drying out. If a plate picks up a smell from garlic, onion or fish, rub it with half a lemon and a little coarse salt, rinse and dry. Store plates in a dry cupboard away from radiators and direct sunlight. Wooden plates are ideal for cheese, charcuterie, bread, cakes, fruit and appetisers, and they make a warm, rustic table setting that suits both relaxed family suppers and smart dinner parties with friends. Because wood is lightweight and does not shatter like ceramic or glass, wooden plates are a practical choice for garden parties, picnics, barbecues and family meals with children. They also make a thoughtful housewarming, wedding or anniversary gift for anyone who loves to host.

Ready to Ship

The AOOSY Acacia Plates Set are in stock at Kitchen Supplies Zone, with swift UK dispatch.

FAQs

Q: Which sizes are available?

A: 6, 8, 10 and 11 inch.

Q: Can they go in the dishwasher?

A: No, hand wash only.

Q: How will my wooden plates be delivered?

A: Your wooden plates are packed carefully for swift UK dispatch, and a dependable courier service delivers them to UK mainland addresses.
